The name "Maharishi" महर्षि marks a great Hindu sage or spiritual leader. It is a Sanskrit word used for members of the highest order of ancient Indian sages, popularly known in India as "seers", i.e., those who engage in research to understand and experience nature, divinity, and the divine context of existence, and these experiences' governing laws.

"Patañjali" is a compound name from
"patta" पत, "falling, flying" and "añj" अञ्ज्, "honor, celebrate, beautiful" or "añjali" अञ्जलि, "reverence, as in anjali mudra, where we join the palms of the hand."

According to Maharishi Patanjali, the asanas are just one of eight aspects, or limbs, that make up a complete Yogic practice.

In my own experience, each aspect of every limb of the tree offers deep nourishment for the mind, body, & soul.

As you will see, every aspect is connected.

This introductory guide shares a TINY overview of the language & intentions of each limb. That said, I encourage you to introduce yourself carefully, one at a time; explore what your existence feels like while introducing them into your day to day living. As always, I hope you practice what resonates with & excites your spirit, and I hope you feel free to leave behind what does not.

If you wish to dive deeper into these practices, please schedule a free introductory call.

Blessed be.

in Love,
